In today’s world, where foreign language proficiency is becoming increasingly important, our primary goal as the Department of English Language Teaching at Hasan Kalyoncu University is to train student-centered teachers who inquire, question, and adopt continuous professional development as a principle.
From the very first year, you will have the opportunity to reinforce the theoretical knowledge you acquire with practical applications, gaining experience in real classroom environments and gradually discovering the teaching profession. In this way, you will not only possess knowledge but will also advance on the path of becoming teachers who are open to different cultures, capable of critical thinking, and able to inspire their students.
Our experienced and research-oriented faculty aims to support you not only academically but also in your professional and personal development. As of the 2025–2026 academic year, our Master’s program has also been launched, enabling our undergraduate graduates and in-service teachers in the field to pursue their academic and professional development at the graduate level. Our aim is to educate teachers who are competent in their field, equipped with vision, and capable of meeting the needs of the future.
