Program Outcomes & Courses

An English language teacher candidate who completes the undergraduate program of the English Language Teaching Department;

1. Has knowledge about the basic concepts, relationships between concepts and approaches in the field of English language teaching.
2. Has knowledge of teaching programs, teaching strategies, methods and techniques, measurement and evaluation in the field of English language teaching.
3. Has knowledge of students’ development, learning characteristics and difficulties.
4. Discusses the methods related to the production of scientific knowledge and has the knowledge of monitoring, evaluating and applying new studies.
5. Recognizes national and international cultures and the relationship between language education and culture.
6. Has knowledge about the nature, source, limits, accuracy, reliability and validity of knowledge.
7. Evaluates the concepts and relationships between concepts related to the field of English language education.
8. Analyzes concepts and processes related to the field of English language teaching, uses scientific methods and techniques, interprets and evaluates data.
9. Develops the ability to identify and analyze problems related to the field of English language teaching and to produce solutions based on evidence and research.

10. Apply the most appropriate teaching strategies, methods and techniques in the field of English language teaching, taking into account students’ developmental characteristics, individual differences and learning styles.

11. Effectively uses tools, materials, materials and educational technologies appropriate to the subject area and students’ level of readiness and develops materials.
12. Evaluates students’ achievements in a multidimensional way with different methods. Ability to Work Independently and Take Responsibility
13. Takes responsibility in individual or group studies designed to solve problems encountered in the field of English language teaching and fulfills the task effectively.
14. Develops leadership qualities and continuously contributes to school management processes.
